The UR Downtown Shuttle provides transportation service to Grove and N. Sheppard Streets, and 8th and Grace Streets. Combine the UR Downtown Shuttle with GRTC's bus service for access to even more destinations throughout the city of Richmond.
A variety of Richmond destinations are accessible using the UR Downtown Shuttle. At the Grove and N. Sheppard stop, riders can visit the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts, local restaurants, drug stores, and other retail businesses. The 8th and Grace Streets stop offers access to the Richmond Convention Center, Virginia State Capitol, and many of the Bonner Center for Civic Engagement's partner organizations. In order to ride the UR Downtown Shuttle, at least one person in your party will need to show the driver a UR ID card. The UR Downtown Shuttle is wheelchair accessible.
Emergency Dispatch
In emergency situations only, you may contact Groome's emergency dispatch at (804) 222-7222 to request a ride service vehicle. Groome also offers a fee-based after-hours service if you need a ride to campus when the shuttle is no longer running.

Always have a well-charged cell phone with emergency contact numbers pre-programmed.
Be careful with your personal information (i.e., address, e-mail, phone number, and Social Security number).
